Mix'd Messages is the debut album by Cornelia $t. Lemz.
It's a quick listen at 37 minutes, and has excellent replay value.
A true solo album, Mix'd Messages features no guest appearances from other emcees or rappers.
Just straight up Lemz!!
As member of Grown Man Status, Cornelia $t. Lemz has shaped the group's sound through his instrumental contributions. His work on Trials & Tribulations was particularly exceptional. In fact, Lemz provided half of T&T's beats and featured on all but two of the songs!
An ever-present fan-favorite who is known for his off-the-top freestyles, Lemz has always been a visible member of Grown Man Status.
While he had no features on w00DwiCK Records Volume 1, Lemz was featured extensively on the long-completed-yet-still-unreleased w00DwiCK Records Volume 2.
In fact, both volumes were actually completed simultaneously.
w00DwiCK Records Volume 1 was intended to be a DaviD n VaToRe album, with Volume 2 serving as an introduction to Grown Man Status as a whole.
However, many of the unmixed/unreleased songs from Volume 2 have long been mainstays of G.M.$'s live performances.
During these shows, it quickly became clear to both fans and casual observers alike that it couldn't be long before this multi-talented emcee from Cornelia Street would release a solo project.
